Anitra Cottledge is the Director of Programs at the Headwaters Foundation for Justice, where she advances Headwaters’ mission by overseeing its grantmaking programs. Prior to this role, she held roles at the University of Minnesota, including Director of the Women’s Center and Director of Communications in the Office for Equity and Diversity. Her commitment to creative, feminist, and Afrofuturist changemaking runs throughout her career, and informs her expertise in the areas of intersectional women’s and gender equity; Black women’s administrative leadership; and DEIJ in organizational communications. She is co-editor of the book University and College Women’s and Gender Equity Centers: The Changing Landscape, which is one of only two book-length volumes about college women’s centers. A certified emotional intelligence practitioner, she also holds certificates in personal development coaching and community coaching for healing justice. Anitra earned her Master’s degree from the University of Minnesota in educational policy and administration, and a BA in English from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
