Anitra Cottledge is the Director of the Women’s Center at the University of Minnesota (U of M), and has over 20 years of experience in higher education, with expertise in the areas of intersectional women’s and gender equity; Black women’s administrative leadership; and DEIJ in organizational communications. Her writing on these topics has appeared in the Minnesota Women’s Press, Women in Higher Education, on blogs like Feministing, and in the anthology, Click: When We Knew We Were Feminists. She is co-editor of the book University and College Women’s and Gender Equity Centers: The Changing Landscape, which is one of only two book-length volumes about college women’s centers. A certified emotional intelligence practitioner, she also holds certificates in personal development coaching and community coaching for healing justice. Anitra earned her Master’s degree from the University of Minnesota in educational policy and administration, and a BA in English from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
